Speaking out in 2018
The Legal Genealogist is quite certain that it will come as a great surprise to everyone out there.
You would never ever have guessed that … well … I like to talk about genealogy.
I know, I know. Such a shocking revelation.1
Can’t help it — with my most of my family tending to roll their eyes when I even say the word genealogy, I have to have an outlet someplace. And I got hooked on having people laugh at my jokes during all those years of teaching law students.2
Fortunately, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years as a genealogist, it’s that genealogists like to listen — and learn — and share stories.
And I’m privileged to have been chosen to speak to — and learn from — and share stories with some excellent genealogists coming up throughout 2018.
So if you’re of a mind to come out and listen — and learn — and share with me your stories, too, here are some options: conferences, seminars and lectures where you can find me.

NOTES
I will try to get in to one or more of the NY ones. Those are closest to me. I am especially interested in the German Group. I have interesting ninja Germans, lol, they like to hide.
Tell me about it… I have an 1855 illegitimacy in Germany that’s giving me running fits… 🙂 Hope to see you in 2018!
Hope no one snag you for December conferences!
Not too many of those — and my family always has a few ideas about what we should be doing in December… 🙂
Delighted to see you will be at the SC Genealogical Society in July! Just got its quarterly publication and you are featured on the inside front cover. Four sessions, bless your heart, as we southerners (or ex-southerners) say….lucky us!
With at least two of my lines that went through South Carolina (Fore/Faure in Union County and Gentry in Edgefield), I’m looking forward to this — and doing some research while I’m there!
It’s that March entry that has got us quivering with excitement Down Under! All alert and waiting to learn….and laugh.
I am so excited to see you speak at the Nebraska State Genealogical Society Conference in April. My best friend cannot wait to fangirl over you. 🙂
Just reading your schedule makes me tired! Nothing on the West Coast this year – guess you did that enough times last year. Will miss you.
Linda
p.s. your cats are going to miss you also!
I am planning to attend as many webinars as I can this year. Thanks for holding them and making them available .
Lots of groups offer free webinars and it’s a great way to learn!
