Speaking out in 2016
The Legal Genealogist is quite certain that it will come as a great surprise to everyone out there.
You would never ever have guessed that … well … I like to talk about genealogy.
I know, I know. Such a shocking revelation.1
Can’t help it — with my most of my family tending to roll their eyes when I even say the word genealogy, I have to have an outlet someplace. And I got hooked on having people laugh at my jokes during all those years of teaching law students.2
Fortunately, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years as a genealogist, it’s that genealogists like to listen — and learn — and share.
So if you’re of a mind to come out and listen — and learn — and share with me your stories, too, here are some 2016 options: conferences, seminars and lectures where you can find me.

NOTES
Ahh!!!.I am so excited you are coming to Baton Rouge in July! My goal is to get more involved with the BR genealogical and historical society in 2016. I am putting it on my calendar! It is my wedding anniversary that day too, so I should be able to remember it.
Good grief, Judy. Is your 2016 New Year’s resolution to see how many frequent flier miles you can amass?
I’m exhausted just looking at that schedule! But Oz and NZed? Cool! I’ve already let my (new to the vortex) friends from NZed know that they need to go hear you speak.
I’m excited by the whole year — but have to admit the Down Under part is a major league bucket list trip!!
Judy, I have heard you speak on a number of occasions. The audiences on your schedule are in for a treat. I visited New Zealand and Australia las
Hope to have a class with you at RootsTech and join you in Scottsdale in March.
It’ll be good to see you then!
OK, Judy. We have to plan to see each other either in April at Santa Rosa, or in Sept. at Medford, OR. It will depend on whether you will have any “extra” time at either place but it looks to me as if maybe Medford would work better for you. We can plan as time gets closer but I certainly hope that we can make something work!!!
Planning on meeting you in Brisbane in March.
That’s great, John! See you there!
The only person I’ve come across who puts a joke in a footnote! Hope it’s a great year for you.
I’m sad to see there aren’t any Colorado dates on the schedule.
As a Colorado native, I’m always willing! Talk to your local society’s program director! 🙂
Will do! I’m a new Colorado resident (a Florida native), and about to join the local society. It looks to be very active group here in the Denver Metro area and I’d love to hear you speak!
I hope to see you at “Researching Family in Pennsylvania.” I will be staying after to do some hands on research on my Campbell & McAnally families who lived in Philadelphia 1850-1900. Yippee!
